Gamers, rejoice! If you haven’t had enough of the great games released in October, there’s more in store for you this month. Here’s what you need to know about the most anticipated games of November 2017!
(The games listed below are the only ones with a confirmed release date, as others have been announced for November but still doesn’t have a firm release date. Ported releases are also not included.)
Call of Duty: World War II (November 3)
Call of Duty is back and it’s poised to become one of 2017’s biggest releases. WWII goes old school with stripped-down mechanics that leaves out all the pizzazz of jetpacks and wall climbing. Devs have also decided to remove a lot of “junk” features present in the previous games like Killstreaks and “ultimate” moves. The game takes you back to the battlefields of World War II as you try to crush Nazi Germany as American soldiers. Old fans will certainly enjoy the old-school mechanics, as well as the new stuff such as a game mode that lets you fight against “Nazi Zombies”.
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon (November 17)
Just like in Sun and Moon, the game takes place in the Hawaiian inspired Alola region – however, Necrozoma has taken the light away from the region. Just like the previous Pokemon games, you get to play as a trainer, and it’s up to you to restore Alola to its former glory. The game includes new features like the Mantine Surf, Alola Photo Club, and the Ultra Warp Ride which allows players to travel through various wormholes throughout the region. New Z-Moves have also been announced for legendaries Solgaleo and Lunala.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 (November 17)
The game takes place after the destruction of the second Death Star; and this time, you’ll be playing as the Imperials. Battlefront 2 will be set in all three eras in the Star Wars universe, from the Republic days of the prequels to age of the First Order and the Resistance. The main campaign is a single-player that lets us play as Iden Versio, a commander of an Imperial black-ops squad. As for the multiplayer, the game will come with 5 modes: Starfighter Assault, Galactic Assault, Blast, Strike, and Heroes vs Villains. Also, for the first time, there will be four main character classes to choose from: Assaults, Heavies, Specialists, and Officers. For the true-blue Star Wars fans, your favorite heroes (Kylo Ren, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, etc) will be in the game as well.
The Inpatient (November 21)
The Inpatient is a psychological survival horror VR game made by the studio that created Until Dawn, and takes place years before the game. You’ll get to play as a patient who is suffering from amnesia and is kept in the Blackwood Sanatorium. Your character seeks to regain their memory, and the plot depends on the choices you make within the game.
